Review of the time2 storage device for iOS
I’ve started Vlogging on my iPhone 5S and noticed that because I only purchased an 8GB memory on the phone, I decided to buy the time2 storage device from Amazon.
I had never heard of storage devices for iOS before, and I started searching the internet to see if there was something I could buy for iPhone storage and noticed an article on CNet which made some suggestions for iPhone storage.
You can purchase extra space from iCloud or Dropbox, but this is not good if you have internet access.
I read the article and went to Amazon to look at IOS devices and noticed that the time2 was cheaper than other devices, and it holds up to 256GB on a Micro SD card, which is more than enough for me.
I was disappointed that this device never came with a micro SD card. However, £28.99, it’s an excellent buy compared to other more expensive machines.
The time2 is also Apple Certified, which is another reason I went for this, and it’s available to buy in the app store because it’s specially made for iPod, iPhone and iPad.
If you are like me and own all three of these devices and take lots of photos and videos, you should buy one of these.
The item arrived the next day via Amazon Prime, and it was packaged well inside a small sealed box along with instructions on how to use the item.
I now have a suitable device for transferring files to my iPhone, iPad and iPod.
A user-friendly app that you can download onto your device, compatible with downloading and transferring music, videos, images and docs.
With just one click, you can even backup your contacts list.
This device is small enough to fit in your hand and relatively light, so you can quickly put it in your pocket or bag when working away from home. It also has a USB connection to plug into any PC or Macbook.
Conclusion
Overall this device is small enough to carry and store away.
The only thing I would say is it would be better if it came with a micro sd card. However, this would drive the price up.
The instructions are pretty straightforward but could do with updating as they can confuse because Local” storage is “Device” storage and “External” storage is SD Card storage.
You also have to delete files manually, and there is no prompt button to tell you to delete copied files.
Please be aware that you can’t download music onto this straight from iTunes; it can only transfer music saved on your device.
